Guys,
Am installing a 3W 80XI single and am trying to figure out why the carb body has 2 fuel inlet nipples? Its not a Walbro carby (what I'm used to), Its a tilotson. One nipple is located at the bottom of the carb in silver (same as the carb case) and the other is gold on the side not too far from the needles.
Is one a breather of some sort? (one at he bottom??)
Any views on this would be appreciated,
Thanks.

The silver nipple is the fuel line, the gold is a vent line. If you look at the picture the fuel line is attached to the nipple you see on the top of the carb, and it's the silver one. This is a great engine.

Many thanks Dan, Is it best practice to attach some tubing to the vent nipple to aid breathing? (Their is no mention of this in the instructions.....)
Now I know where to start!
Thanks

As long as the engine runs okay, I wouldn't worry aout adding any line to the vent. I've not had a problem with this engine or the -75i that needed any additional venting.

Very nearly ready for an engine run! Since crushing my little finger with a mallet Saturday I've been feeling a bit sensitive about spinning large props!!!
