I have the MVVS 35, peak RPM with a 3W 20x8 is 7370,, at over 15 pounds it doesn't pull my PA (ARF) GeeBee Y off the ground as it would a light 3D plane, but I have to say this little motor sure pulls..

I used to fly MVVS 35 (same as evolution) with EDGE 540T wingspan 73" from Wildhare. The engine is really good but it is a bit heavy. When I installed it to 73" EDGE, I can perform all aerobatics well but have a problem with authority for HOVERING.
The power is too fit for it.

Engine is easy to start and reliable and never give me a problem.

Due to heavy weight of engine MVVS35 I do need to relocate two pack 6 volts 1500 mAh battery at the back of rudder servo.

Considering the 35 for a Giant UCando at 13 lbs. I had an Evolution 26 on it and it would hover but not much left to pullout. JUst curious if the 35 is goin to b much better. Gotta love the way they run. Maybe i am different but i have a brand new DA50 that i was goin to put on it but i cant stand the way it runs, so its for sale. An engine that costs $600 but wont run without burbling the whole way lol. My 26 sings without ever missing a beat. FUnny looking cause the carb is almost as big as the head lol..

13 lbs is too much to Hover on any 1.60 gas engine. If you get rid of 2 lbs, the 26cc (1.60) will do fine.
Cooling in 3D flight takes very special attention though. A gasser is not like a glow engine.

I put the 26 on my Hangar 9 Twist 150 at 10lbs and it does very well. I wanted to know would the 35 pull the Giant Ucando at 13lbs?? What could i expect as far as performance and what prop would b appropriate?? thanks

My MVVS 35GT using a 20X8 Xaor turns 6,600k with about 3/4 gallon through it.(40:1 amsoil regular gas). Using the Inverted pitts wrap around muffler.

What would be a good prop for this motor for just speed?

well, as I said I'm using a 3W 20x8,, and at over 15 pounds my plane moves along at a pretty good clip, so probably an 18x10, 18x11 or a 17x12, 17x13,,

now, if you went with a carbon prop you may gain a few hundred RPMs, even more..

use the right oil (synthetich 2 stroke racing), AND premium gas only. The manual is quite clear about this.
