Default Ignition module Cowl installation

I would like to know if the ignition module can withstand the temperature inside a cowl. This is for a BME G90 gas engine installation. It has a Falcon Ignition module. I need to shift the weight towards the nose for proper balance and I am considering the Ignition module+NiMh battery inside the cowl.
Please reply back ASAP.
Thanks in advance.

Every gas powered plane I have has the module in the cowl. I just try to make sure that it is not really close to the exhaust and can get airflow to help keep it cool

Pic shows the installation inside the cowl of a QQ Yak, also note that MVVS supply an Isolation mount for there engines which has a mount on the side to put the ignition on, this would put the moduel within 25mm of the engine, so it should not be a problem.

I'm using the Falcon ignition on my converted G26...mounted to the side of the engine box, I don't know if I have seen an installation where the ignition wasn't strapped to this area. You can see my battery is strapped on the other side of the engine box. Just don't wrap your ignition in foam like you would a receiver. I used a couple small strips of weatherstripping foam tape, and Zip ties, just enough to space it out from the engine box to allow air to move around it.

Due to resistance, the spark plug wire for the ignition module is typically never long enough to put it anywhere else BUT the cowl even if you wanted to put it somewhere else.

Here is a Falkon ignition mounted on the left, a battery on the right, and a ZDZ80 in the middle.

C&H Module mounted behind Brison 4.8 twin on a KI-84. Cowl is removed for clarity, tree frog gives a sense of scale and is helping keep the bugs out of the system.
The ignition and one receiver battery are directly below the module between the aluminum motor mounts. Been that way for several years with no problem.

WOW! , Great pictures. I put the query across before I slept, wake up and I am flushed with suggestions. Thanks a lot!!!
In my case, I am building a Super sportster from scratch (Own Design). The engine offers little space inside the cowl and hence the ignition module would be... say 15mm from the cylinder head. And on the other side the NiMh batt about 20mm from the exhaust.
In all the picture that you folks put up, there is a mounting box between the firewall and engine bolting flange. So I seen an option of placing the module+batt either side. In my model, the engine is mounted to the firewall with a Nylon mount (much like a conventional .40 size plane). So it would be a fairly tight fit for further stuff inside cowl. I guess I should consider building a extn box to mount the engine and put the module+batt inside the box or on the side. With the engine weight shifting further forward it would also help with the CG. Only it's fabricating a new cowl that a toughy!

If I could sneek in one more question, does a Lipo battery do well inside a cowl? or is it Bamm!

Thanks again to all!
