spe 40 timing

Default spe 40 timing

I set the timing on my 40cc to 28 to 30 degrees as per manual, engine kicks back and forth and is hard to start. checked timing on my spe 26 never moved its set at 35 degrees.set the 40cc to 35 seems to run fine ?? any ideas

I set the timing on 30 degrees and sometime kicks back.It can run blade 20x8 at 7000 rpm.
