EDIT: Problem solved thanks to Truckracer!

I'm having some trouble with my DA100 it is brand new. It starts just like its supposed to choke on, flip prop till it pops, choke off, flip the prop a couple times and its running like a charm idle +-800rpm. When I let it warm up and bring it to full power, it just wont get there I can only manage to get it turning at 3000rpm max. I set it like the book says 1 3/8 low needle 1 1/2 high needle. With those settings it seems to be backfiring at full throttle it runs roughly and there is smoke coming out of the front crankshaft seal once in a while. I tried to adjust the high needle both ways till it either died from being too lean or being too rich, made adjustments to the low needle as well the transition from low to "high" rpm seems to be just fine, it just wont turn that prop faster than 3000 rpm (I use a digital calibrated tach same one i use to calibrate the Tachs on the real planes). The case pressure plug is in I doubt there is an intake leak since it runs just fine at idle. I didn't make any modifications to the engine or carb its all stock running on cannisters everything is brand new and installed like it should be, butterfly valve goes all the way to the stop in the full open position... i really dont know whats going on. Has this ever happened to any of you guys ? If you have any tips or things i could try please let me know I cant wait to get that plane in the air. I'm using a TBM 27x10 wooden prop btw

(EDIT: forgot to mention im using normal unleaded gas mixed 32:1 with Keen flow ash less oil)

Maybe not your problem, but I have seen this happen before. Check so see that your ignition sensor is plugged in correctly. If the plug is reversed, the engine will only run about half speed. I know the plug is keyed, but it can still be plugged in backwards if forced.

Man you are my hero of the day... I went out right away to check it, seems like the plug (which is keyed you are right) is wired the wrong way (key doesnt match the wire colors) I didnt look at the wires when i first installed it. I switched the wires around, started the engine and its running like a tiger!!
