Default What Engine Is This

Hey guys a member of my local club handed me this engine to get running. Any idea what it is?

I have no idea what it is, but if you plan to get it running......I'd start with a carb. But hey, I'm no expert!

Yep. Then perhaps a battery and maybe even a prop of some kind. There is some kind of home brewed EI ignition on it also. Had a clamp ring on it to hold the sensor.

Almost looks like an old Zenoah G-23 with the Magneto removed, or maybe a Kioritz?[]

It looks like the old Malonie that some one tried updating from glow fuel to gas and ignition. The koritz's i believe had the side mounting rail's like the bigger ( 2300 to 3200) supertigers. The Malonies had a radial cup mount on the rear to bolt them to the firewall. I may be miss taken, but i'm betting on it being a modified Malonie.

Its a Mac, remove the muffler and it will say 28 or 32. It has an OLD CH module mount. The mounts are questionable with high hours on them.

Hey Terry, I removed the muffler and it is a 32. Thank you very much. So that is your mount? I thought that the sensor holder looked like something I have seen before on your web page. The back plate is plastic that someone cobbled off. I was able to remove the hub with no effort. The threaded stud looks to be pretty long, I hope that the prop hub is thick enough to allow it to be tightened well.
