I use the antifreeze quite often. I do not use it for carbs. I spray them off with the aerosol carb cleaner then dissassemble them and spray ther inner workings. I am not sure what the antifreeze will do to gaskets or seals, I always dissassemble my engines removing any seals and gaskets before putting in the pot for 12 hours. Use straight antifreeze, Do not cut it with water and the parts will come out clean.

Disassemble it as much as possible and remove all the gasket material that you can. Cook it overnight and then clean it off with solvent or water and WD-40.

Don't boil it. You just want it to be hot. A potpourri pot works better if you can find a old one.

Good luck,

Hello,

I use the crock pot method also. Make sure you use a low setting or the aluminum will dull. I usually leave the parts in over night.

Definately make sure that you don't overheat the mixture. Just make sure that the pot is on low.
