Default Velocity Stack Position

Which way should a velocity stack with an angled opening be positioned on a Walbro carburetor? Should the high side be forward creating a vacuum over the carburetor or should the high side be at the rear causing a higher pressure at the carb?

The stack on my G-23 was straight across. The one on my G-38 was angled. I aligned the angle so the "high side" was towards the front. You don't want to pressurize the carb, but to help eliminate the vacuum pulled across the throat by the slipstream. Both distance and angle will do that.
