Hi!!
i´m from Brazil, and it´s my first post on this forum.
so, i can´t speak english very well, forgive me for the grammatical errors.
i have a Camodel EXTRA 330S 29% , about 220cm (88").
so, i don´t know what engine use in the plane, my options are:
- DL 50cc = U$380,00
- DA 50cc = U$670,00
- Evolution 58gx2 = U$680,00
I already read a lot about the DL 50, and saw many videos on youtube, and i think it´s a good engine, considering the low price and good power of the engine.
The DA 50 i know that´s the best 50cc of world.
The EVO58gx2 i never heard about it, but if is true that it makes 8.5hp, that´s a strong engine.
So, if the airplane was yours, what of this 3 engines, did you put in ?
Thanks!!
Regards!

I use DA engines and swear by them and stand behind the company and the morals of the company
at this point if another company offered me an engine for free, I would decline and purchase from DA
as to the others, I cannot voice my opinion for the risk of being banned

#1: Your English is 1000 times better then my Brazilian.
#2: DA-50 is not the best 50cc in the world.
#3: Buy the DL-50 and a Vess 23A prop, you'll love it and save a ton of money!
#4: If you don't care about the money that much look at the Brillelli 60cc.

I'm not defensive, just brutally honest. That seems to be a problem these days. Besides, I'm tired of watching a bunch of old guys try and fly 3D because the young kids can't afford a 50cc. I guess now we'll see where the real talent is. With our youth!!! and not just the rich ones!!!

Back to engines ... so many good choices these days. In the 50 size I have a DA, Taurus and a 3mm. These work well in the planes they are installed in. Would certainly buy a DL too if I needed another lightweight, rear carb engine. But would not rule out another DA .... The Taurus has incredible power and the lowest vibration levels of any 50 I have been exposed to.

Trust me, I've got you by more then a few years, as you well know, and no, I don't own a Taurus 52cc but I do acknowledge them for what they are, great! Now let's get away from the politics and tell this poor guy which engines are out there and why he should give up his hard earned dollars for one.

Here's a video of my DL-50 in my SD 30% Extra 260. Nothing fancy, just trim flights but it gives you an idea of the power.

Here's the 3MM in the WH Edge 540T V2, again, just a trim flight.
http://media.putfile.com/Second-Flight-Edge-540T-V2
Both have a take-off weight of approx 18.5 pounds or 8.3 kilos. Both with 87" wingspans. Neither engine was broken in yet.

It means the engine is new and not yet used enough to run its best.
Here is the link for 3mm.
http://bcmaengines.com/BCMA3mm53.htm
Look at all of the engines available before you buy. You decide which is best for you price wise and performance wise. If you can afford the best then buy the best. If you want a good engine at a good price then shop a bit. Your choice, your decision, your engine.

I don't believe anybody is fighting here .... just expressing strong personal preferences for products that have worked well. Some of us prefer to support US companies (yes I know that all parts are not US mfg.) rather than knock off Chinese products so express opinions about that too. But I really can't say too much about that as I prefer to support US companies but also own Chinese products.

AeroBrazilian- Good point about getting back on track with your question. I have one- how do you like the CA Models Extra? I have several of their kits and have flown the Galaxy.
Exeter Acres- I'm not sure what you would want to say that would cause you to get banned. This sounds like too much drama.
I've had to clean up the thread in hopes that the thread can get back on track with the original questions.

blw, i still didn´t fly this Extra, i bought it by a friend that lives in other state.
i used a kroma 50 in my last giant, but to this new extra, i want more power!
Therefore i will buy an other engine.
But this friend that i bought the Extra, says that is the best 29% he already flown! an excellente plane to all acrobatics.
So, could you forgive if i say that i didn´t understand when you said "Exeter Acres- I'm not sure what you would want to say that would cause you to get banned. This sounds like too much drama."
