3MM53 muffler options

While the muffler that comes with the 3MM53 appears to be a good one, I am looking for something different for a scale project. Does anybody know of a more compact muffler for this engine. I need a side mount muffler, one that projects less in front and is a bit thinner (closer to the engine) than the stock one. The muffler body could be located more towards the C/L of the engine. If none are available, I can modify the stock one to work.
Thanks for any help.

Tom Fawcett of WildHare had someone working on a tuned pipe for this engine and I believe had Bisson make a rear dump for it. Other then that Scott at Brillelli might be able to make you one.

Get in touch with JTEC. I talked to a guy there once that told me he could make or modify a muffler how ever you wanted it. Don't know the cost but when I talked to him about modifying a JTEC muffler to fit my application, he told me about $20. Give them a call and see.

Pat, you must have really ticked someone.
On the subject of mufflers, is the 46cc Poulan conversion a pretty standard muffler to find? I mean, some mfgs routinely stock commonly used mufflers, like the G62. Is the 46 Poulan muffler easy to find?

If they don't contact Scott Ellingson at www.Brillelli.com He and Adam are good friends and he can probably hook you up with exactly what you need as he and Mike Brill do custom made mufflers.
