From: someplace,
had some quite awhile ago (years) had decent power for what was available at the time, Quadra-Zenoah. But the Kioritz was heavier. to my knowledge the only place you might find parts is someplace that sold the Geenmachine weed wackers.

Really old Green Machine chain saws were made by Zenoah, became the G38(model 7400) and G62(model 7700)..Still have one of the 62s here to convert..The cylinder is the same but the crank is smaller diameter on the flywheel side with the taper..makes a G62 that weighs under 4 lbs....
Current Red Max saws are the same, with different model numbers...
The crank and cylinders from the Echo twin chainsaw are still being used in the D&B and BME twins..The now discontinued Spehar twin also used these parts...

Keep it comming! This is what I need! Any info about what they have evolved into, and any engines that may share some parts, such as, pistons and cylenders..
I am especially interested in the 5.8 twin, or a 2.9 single (if they made one) I'm sure it would have used the same piston/cyl..

I just bought a Cub Cadet CC2000 trimmer that I believe is closely related to the Kioritz and Echo lines. It has a 25cc 2stroke engine that looks almost identical to those in the Ryobi professional and Troy bilt string trimmers. Since many of them are distributed by MTD Products, I don't doubt they are all sourced from the same OEM supplier. The quality and finish of these "professional grade" weedies are way above the Ryobi 31cc, Homelite, and Weedwaters.
Anyway, the 25cc engine I have weighs 3lbs with the stock magneto ignition, which is slightly lighter than the Zenoah G23. I really want to put a variable timing electronic ignition on this one, but I'm having a tough time finding a prop hub that will fit the taper on the crankshaft. Most places only have hubs that will fit the popular Ryobi and Homelites.
I could sacrifice the flywheel and turn it down to a hub, but I'd like to keep that as a last resort. Can anyone help?
