Default Ralph, don't take this as a persoanl attack

I have had many, many Klez viruses sent to me looking like RC questions. I think it is either the clever nature of the designed virus when sending itself from infected users Email. Or, just darn coincidental.

Default Hope I wasn't the one ...

I found and eliminated the Klez Virus from my computer about 3 days ago. I hope it wasn't embedded in my email to you Ralph, from a few days ago. I do believe that once it's infected a computer, it automatically becomes a stealth component of any subsequent emails that go out from that computer.

Not a problem, I have no E Mail addresses in my computer so any virus that gets by the firewall can't go anywhere...And a spare hard drive.....

I think we all can put our 2 cents in on this one,I have had the same happen disguised as something from the RC community! I think it is just the way these hackers try to get us to open their JUNK !!!

Default "Klez"

The virus gets in a mail box and sends itself to look as if someone else has sent it. I get a LOT of these from RC oriented sites; but I also get some that claims this is "my newsest game" and " this is my first work, I would hope you enjoy it". So I always dig out the original sender and give him a little pc. of "advise" ! I have gotten it up to 3 times from the same person so I just send a copy of it to his ISP and they take care of it.......

RC, some days I receive as many as 5 viruses. However my first line of defense is my ISP (EV1.net) who catches about 99%. Norton catches the rest and I wouldn't be without a good firewall. I don't see how people survive long in this day and time on the web without protection.

A really good web site which debunks virus myths and gives a good description of the viruses that we see is http://truthorfiction.org/
