Default Sachs 4.2 Specs

Does anyone have the specs for a sachs 4.2 ? . I really don't know much about this engine. It came with a Ziroli P-40 that I have aquired. It has an orange crankcase and needs a choke valve.

Thanks

S1

If the carb is a Tillotson the little round black thing sticking out from the side of the carb is the same as a choke..Rotate it until it comes up about 1/16" to choke to start, back to run...
The orange case Sachs are sold by B&B, www.bennettbuilt.com..
If the carb is a Walbro you can get the choke valve at a small engine repair shop....

I have one of the Tillotson- model--S236G110- - Which I got with some other carbs in a trade of bits n pieces.
It looks to be sized about right for 60 cc engines -
All in all - does the enrichening setup work well ?
My other Tillotsons (big ones) have the usual choke plate.
I have been using the WJ38A Walbro on 60 cc - which typically works very well.
Easy start - good fransition - etc.,.

Works well...Sometimes comes out in a crash, but chainsaws don't crash

Carb is a walboro. Bennet does not list any specs nor could I really find anything for Sachs (Did I just miss it ?). I'm interested in horsepower and prop size specs.

Thx - S1

I have a A&M 4.2 Sachs w/Walbro carb W/ J-Tech snuffler mufflers.........should be the same as you have. The props they recommend are 22-6-10, 22-8-14,
22-12. Take your pick and try them out. I used a 22-10 and got excellent results. Its hit and miss, depends on your elevation, muffler, etc. GOOD LUCK
