What type of spinner do you guys suggest? I would like to find one that I don't have to make extensive mods to the cone and/or backplate to fit on the 10mm prop shaft, or to fit around the blades. Do Tru-Turns fit without modification? Making spinners fit my Saito glow engines with APC props was always a pain in the !@#$. I had to ream out the backplate and cut out the cone. I only ran them so I could use my 12V starter.

You can buy Tru turns pre cut and drilled for a given set of propellers. Check with DA, Chiefs, Don's Hobby Shop, and probably TBM. Dave Brown spinners can be had pre cut and drilled from Wild Hare RC. Aluminum spinners are heavy, and expensive. Fiberglass and carbon fiber spinners at very light weights can be had at espritmodel.com but you have to cut the cone and drill the back plate yourself. They provide cutting instructions on the site.
It's all in what you want.

Fiberglass and carbon fiber spinners are also available but require some work to fit them to the prop.

Dave Brown spinners come with a 3/8" center hole in the backplate. But if you order from them directly they will drill it out to 10mm free of charge.
