Default Gas Engine Test Stands

Let's see some pics of your guy's test stands. I'm looking to build one that can handle tune pipe set ups.

Dick Hanson has the uber sweet setup for that one. Check some of his posts whenever the topic is tuned pipes or canisters in this forum or the Giant Scale Aerobatic & 3D forum. [sm=thumbs_up.gif]

Here is my current incarnation of the engine test stand. The basic engine mounting adapter is also used with glo engines, with the glo plug power coming from the D-cell holder at the aft end.

The adapter assembly fastens with a 3/8" U-bolt to a 4x4 post concreted 3' into the ground. I keep the testing gadgetry (tach, temp gauge, stopwatch, notepad, etc) on a small picnic table behind me.

It works well enough. I'm wanting to add a thrust-measuring scale to the addapter some day...

Thanks guys. I've been wanting to build one for a while, and now is the time.
