I am looking at buying an Evolution 45 gas engine with the evolution wrap around muffler. My previous experience with that type of muffler has been that they will not stay on the engine. Due to vibration and the wrap around design, they have tended to loosen and or break. Have any of you guys tried this combo and have you had this problem?

Not on that engine, but I had the same problem with the 26GT2. The problem seemed to come from the bolts loosening when the engine got up to temperature and things expand as they heat. So, I tightened the bolts, ran the engine until it was up to temp; then shut it down and re-torqued the bolts. This engine has many flights on it since without any further problems. I still check the bolts periodically, but they remain tight.

I run 2 45gx's and 2 58gx's. I cannot keep a wrap-around on the 58s but have had no problems with the 45s. I always add a small flat washer and split lock washer to the mounting bolts.
