DA-85 muffler install
I have a slimline pitts style muffler for my DA-85.
The engine came with what looks like a cork exhaust gasket.
My question is should I apply permatex to the gasket, then bolt it on or what?
I prefer to do this right the first time.
Thanks for any help here

RE: DA-85 muffler install
Chuck the gasket! Do not use it. The long wrap around muffler will tear it apart, and you'll be right back here asking how to repair the threads on you brand new engine.
Use Permatex Ultra Copper High Temp silicone. Use the smallest amount possible. Bolt it all together and allow it a couple hours to cure before running the engine.
