Well have been out of RC for a while and decided to get back but do not want to go with glow, Slime and cost of fuel is just to much for me.
Made a trip to Joe Nall to try and see the lastest and greatest, most of the top brands were there like DA and 3w, But do not want to spend that kind money.
Went through the venders and saw a few motors, Some were something like GR pro or something like that, and another one called Aera 51.
I was most impressed with the 51cc, They had it mounted on a Extreme Flight Extra and was running it to show the engine, I seen the tack, with a 23" prop and wow around 7300 rpm.
They also had a 100cc on a display stand and running it to show, That thing was ripping a 27" prop, That is a little to big for me right now.
I have been reading some of the post here about some other engines that look good also, But I have not seen anyone run them.
I think I will be getting one of the Extreme Flight 88" extras
Just like some input on some of the less expensive 50cc class engines

Take a look at the LS PRO MT-57. I bought one from Larry at LSPro Engines. Very good quality and a ton of power. It is flying my 94" Yak like a much bigger engine.

Have heard very good user reports on the DL50 and the MT57, plus with Ralph Cunningham being associated with LS Pro Sales and doing all warranty work for the MT57 says a bunch about the engine's quality.

I was in the market for a 50cc motor and came accross the Area 51, after I had a good chat with Milton, I had no qualm's about buying one.
Bench tune up went very well, it's now starting to pull like a hungry horse..!!
should be in an airframe shortly.
Go with your first thought's, you won't be dissapointed.

Thanks guys for all your input and suggestions
I sat here last night for 3 hrs looking at different post about China made engines and it seems there are three that come out on top for power and price.
MT 57 $440 pulsshipping I think
DL 50 $389.00 shipped
Area 51 $399.00 shipped
There are a lot of post on the MT57 and DL50 and not many on the Area 51, But I have seen the Area 51 run in person and like the looks of it also plus could get it for $325.00 if I don't wait to long.
Man there is a lot to decide on now with so much new stuff out.
Looking at the 88" Extreme flight Extra for $650.00 They are out of stock but said they should be in soon.
Reading about some of the lower cost airframe but there are mixed post about them, Some like them others don't but have read nothing bad about the Extreme Flight.
On anoher note, What servos are you guys using in the larger airframes, I see servos from $50.00 to $120.00 That is a big difference.

Hi Team
It was probably me you seen at Joe Nall, I was there showing the 51cc and 102cc engines.
Out of all the engines I have sold in the last 5 months I guess none of them are group posters, That is why I put some here on sale hoping that who ever got them would post there comments and thoughts about the engine.
So far I have only had two to come back for repair and that was from prop bolts, One changed them out to longer bolts for a Vess prop and used soft bolts and they broke, The other one used bolts supplied and did not thread in but about a 1/4" and pulled out.
Think I have solved that problem, Now I send engines with stock bolts and a longer set for thicker props, All bolts used in these stronger engines should be case hardened.
If you have not seen these yet here is a couple videos, One is with the Extreme Flight Extra and the other is showing thrust and RPM of the motor run new out of the box

Here is a video of the first test plane with a 80" wing span, It was one pound lighter that the Extreme Flight
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TlI_C5XxDKs
The Extreme Flight plane is the same one you seen at Joe Nall
I am sure you will be happy with anyone of the three motors you are thinking about.

I just got a Wildhare 300 Extra with a DA-50R 50cc engine with a Pitts style muffler. Awesome combination. I like the DA engine. Started up right out of the box and is running well. It is made in the USA and Desert Aircraft provides good support. You can email them with questions and they are quick to respond. There are ten guys in my local club who have DA engines, 50cc and 100cc, and they all speak very highly about them. The DA-50 is a pricey ($595) engine but I believe you get what you pay for. Also, your Extreme plane is a real nice plane and it too is pricey. When your are done you will easily spend $2,500+ and at that price tag, you want a really dependable engine. That is why I went with the DA.

You need to re-read DA disclaimer, Assembled in the US with some foreign parts
Or it might say Made in the US with some foreign parts.
A few companies Have already been sued for saying Made in US and using Foreign parts, Such as Thunder Power Batteries !!!!

I think Brillelli should be thrown in the mix of good engines for the money. I have the 60cc in an Extreme Flight Yak and it's killer with stock muffler. Very dependable and price includes muffler and standoffs. Also Brillelli customer service is top notch. As for as servos I'd go with Hitec HS5955's but could use HS 5985"s also. No need for a JR 8711 on this size of plane. Shoot me an email and I'll give you a good price on plane, engine, servos, prop, and batteries. Oh, another plane to consider is the 3DHobbyShop Extra that is due to ship at the end of June or first of July. Either way, I'll shoot you a great deal.
Thanks,
Chris

It might, and it might not be. Without going into all the things that take place with engines coming out of China, you need to know PRECISELY what you are getting when you place a manufacturer direct order. That may not be an MT 57, just an engine that looks like one without the performance or quality. This happens quite a bit I'm afraid, and there have been many people that ended up spending far more to fix a copycat engine than it would have cost to buy the original engine. That doesn't allow for all the work and headache that was involved in correcting an engine, if it could be corrected at all.
To protect yourself and your investment I strongly recommend that you buy from a U.S. dealer than is known to provide good product support. I doubt that you will be able to send your engine back and forth to China for service if needed, and a U.S. dealer is well justified in not providing service for an engine they did not sell. The person that services the MT line of engines in the U.S. is the best in the business. You cannot find better! The MT dealer pays close attention to whom he sells to and to whom bought engines elsewhere. If you bought a copycat engine elsewhere, he will not provide free service, if he elects to provide any service at any price.
There are some very good and ethical engine dealers here in the U.S. and supporting them by making your purchases there means they will be there to support YOU when you need it.
Modelers need to become a little more aware of the bigger picture regarding their product purchases. It's not just about the money. If the desire for bigger and better things is larger than the disposable budget you need to step back a bit until funding improves. If you can't afford to buy, build, and crash a larger plane without going into bankruptcy to replace it you should not be flying larger planes. That wasn't meant to be insulting in any way, just factual.
You can buy almost anything cheap, but a $30.00 Rolex is probably worth less than you paid for it.....

Listen to what TOM said as that's the voice of wisdom speaking, and it's all so very true. You have to be very careful so as not to end up being a penny wise but a pound foolish.
