Default Tachometer

I noticed this tachometer for the Fuji engines.

Will this work with other engines? If not, are there tachs like this for my 50cc BME?

Get one of these, it works with all engines.

I have a couple of tach and have used many, but this is the one you want.

I have this one:

I just thought it would be cool to have the tach mounted on the plane.

Would be nice, but at $140 big ones, I think I'll pass.

I got one too, but I don't like it. I get goofy readings with it, so goofy you know it's wrong, then it gives you a good reading, I just dont trust it.[sm=thumbs_down.gif]

3w and ZDZ both have this type of onboard tach as well....I've heard little about the one from 3W, but know folks using the ZDZ tach and really like it. I can see them being incredibly handy, if you can trust em.

Don't know about the other brand engines, but the ZDZ is designed to retain it's highest RPM reading while it's on so you can determine not only ground RPM, but inflight RPM.

The ZDZ unit as far as I know is specific to ZDZ.

As for the small handheld units, I tried a GloBee but found it unreliable with erroneous readings. So I went with the TNC tach now manufacturered by Fromeco....[8D]

I have run the gauntlet on most of the digital readout hand held tachs and so far apart from the king of the hill Fromeco TNC, the Cermark One Touch is IMO the best of the rest.
