New to gas...
How do you attach a spinner to this ?
My large glow stuff had a nut that screwed onto the shaft with a single hole for the prop. The spinner screwed into that...

Or simply use a coloured plastic spinner of your choice that snaps into the back plate like a Goldberg or that one that is attached to the backplate by screws like a Du Bro.

I really wouldn't recommend using a plastic spinner with a gas engine. I've seen to many engines backfire and shatter a plastic spinner. I know these newer ignitions are supposed to stop that from happening, but a little bit of prevention goes a long ways. I generally use aluminum spinners only on a gasser.

Thanks for this bit of information re the use of plastic spinners as I normally use then on my gssers. My engines are in the 20-30cc range and are fitted with EI so maybe that's why I have been okay so far, but this is good to know.
MIlton,
Any advice that helps to make our sport safer should never ruffle one's feathers.

RE: OK.... stupid question
Okay...
I am lost again
The back plate for the spinner fits over the shaft, then the prop, then the new spinner bolt.
Won't the three small bolts in the picture of the FTL hit the back plate?

Here is a link to an example of one. You will need to get the proper one to fit your engine if you decide to get one.

I can't understand the logic behind these relatively small engines having multiple prop bolts while much larger displacement engines such as the Zenoahs and others make do and without compromising their safety with a single prop bolt, or is it just a case of " monkey see monkey do ".

Drill the prop out to accept the center bolt then use the prop washer as a drill jig.Dont need to buy anything.
