Default G26 Prop Question

Friends

i got my G26 running fairly well now and it is showing signs of power after about 1 gallon of fuel. I need to get off of the 16x8 prop since I am turning over 9k now at the high end and idle is still around 1900k. Whats the best prop for this engine now? I am leaning towards the Mezjlik 18x8 but would like to hear opinions on the matter before I BUY NOW

BTW the engine is on a H9 1/4 TaylorCraft

thanks for the input!

I'm running my Zenoah 26 ei with a Master-airscrew Classic 18x8. I forget the rpm, but it sure pulls my Hangar 9 1/4 scale cub around really well. I look forward to every flight. I flew this setup after the 2nd tank, it is one of the easiest to start and setup engines I've ever had. I tried a Top Flite 18x6 wood prop and did not like it at all. I may try a 17x8 for a quicker spool up, but it's a Cub it already has tons of power without high speed. Hope this helps.

A Mezjlic 18x6 on a less restrictive after market muffler than the stock unit turning in the 9k region is pretty much the accepted standard for the G26 for the best all around performance.

I obtained the best results using an Abell side dump muffler which was much louder than the stock unit, but have been advised that the Pitts style units from Bisson and Jtec give comparable results without a significant increase in noise.

I've been running a 17/6 APC with pretty good results with the Abell muffler. I've tried 16/8, and 18/6W APC, but settled on the 17/6.
Would love to try the Mezjlic 18/6, but can't seem to find one. Nearest hobby shop to me is 70 miles, and they don't carry one that small. Don't want to order just one.

good deal guys, got the 18x8 yesterday and figured I give that a go.

Once it settles in a bit more I will get a better muffler, think the JTec version seems popular so ill grab that once the time comes. Might not be until winter since our flying season is drawing to a close

Would love to hear just how that 18x8 performs as the general feeling is that an 18x8 is a bit too much pitch for the 26 which likes to rev and should be kept in the 9k range, but I guess if you are flying a Cub like model then max. anything is not really nescessary.
