OK, the scenario is a DA-100 that was just installed in a model per instructions Attempt to start it yesterday for the first time was unsuccessful. I looks like the ignition module is the culprit as there was gas getting the carb. (Gas + spark = engine running)
My question is “How do you check for bad ignition modul” as DA instruction prohibits unplugging the spark plug and doing the spark plug ignition test bridge.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
Best Regards
Ben

Take the plug out of the cylinder and install into the plug cap and then test, The reason they do not want you to test without plug is it could destroy the sensor.

I have a DA-100 and have checked the spark simply by placing the plug into the cap, and grounding it to the engine while the prop is flipped at starting speed. The instructions are ambiguous: they say: "unless you are having problems, don't bother "testing" the ignition with the plug removed from the cylinder". They don't say "don't do it, because doing so will harm the ignition".
In your case, you are having problems: Test it. I do it all the time with my various engines, all with C&H ignitions, and have never caused a problem that I know of.

I have not seen a DA ignition lately but if it has a shielded cap you do not even need to touch it to the engine, Should be grounded from the cap.
