Default Evolution 35 gasser throttle hookup??

The throttle lever on this engine is giving me a fit on how to hook it up. First of all it is shaped like a half moon with no long arm to hook to and then it is so close to the carb and engine body that you can't get under it to hook up a ball linkage and if you do the bottom of the screw hangs up on the engine body and carb...the best I can come up with is a metal clevis and use a nylon pushrod....HELP I must be missing something Thanks WC

I had the same problem when I was installing the EVO 35 in a H9 Mustang. Ended up finding a long, nylon servo arm. Cut off one side of the servo arm and installed the screw hole of the arm at the pivot point, and adding a second 2-56 bolt further down on the arm for a solid mount. The longer arm allowed for much better resolution and fixed this particular problem for me. Trial and error/experimentation paid off.

It constantly amazes me engine suppliers market motors intended for RC with abosolutely no thought to hooking up the linkages.
It is frustrating to pay top dollar for this equipment, and be forced to fabricate stuff like this. I feel your pain.

Have a look at this post as well. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/fb.asp?m=4025020

Hope these pictures help.

Thanks, thanks....first good pics......It is unbelievable how little thought some of the engine makers give to the actual use of the engine WC
