Default DLE-222

Here is an interesting video that someone had posted in another thread. I thought it might deserve it's own thread. Looks like someone has joined two DL-100's together.

As soon as they hit the market, I'll be all over one of those like stink on a turd.
I wish the were on the market right now. It is sure to start another DA/DL war on the forums. It going to haul my Ultimate around with some authority I reckon.

If I recall it was you that had posted the link in the other thread. Is this engine in development or is it a one off that somebody put together with 2 engines?

Yup, What Super8 said. Apparently it is not far from being available to us here in Auz, so you mob on your side of the world will probably see it before us.
I just been waiting for this thing. Its like it was built to suit my Ultimate.

Do the two ignitions share the same timing sensor?

I'm hearing for around the same money as a DA 100 as well. I'm definitely mounting one on the front of my 46% Ultimate.
Anyone have a release date yet?.

I was thinking exactly the same thing. Can see that becoming a problem, along with guys not quite up on tuning multiple carb's getting into some grief.
I can see a temp gun being a pretty handy tool for tuning this engine.

According to the picture someone posted 10.85 lbs

That is without mufflers and ignitions

i was there, it wasn't that hard to start, actually you can start the engine by turning the prop with your hand only if you had enough experiences of 4 cylinder engine before. we started it with a stick.

it probably takes monthes until it's final released.

Hopefully it produces power equivalent to it's displacement. That's tough to make happen when joining two engines together. Even tougher is having a crank/joiner that will hold up.

I can't see the need for 4 cylinders. If they could design their own engine, maybe they could do up a 200cc twin.
