Default 3w100 or 106

I just purchased a new 3w100 blue head from an individual and was wondering? Is this a 106 or 100. It has 100iB2 on the engine. Is the 106 stamped on the engine or?
The engine is about 3 weeks old.
Thanks,
Old Edge

If its a 106, it will have a 106 stamp on the case behind the cylinders, but the silver label still says 100b2. Hope this helps. Yours sounds like a 100 from aircraft international.

You will love the motor, awesome power! Break it in with a 27x10 for about 4 gallons @40:1, then switch to something like amsoil and a 28x10. It only takes a little time before it rips a 27x10.

Default Throttle arm

Hey Razorback,
Do you have a pictue of how you installed your throttle arm. I've got a new 3W 106 and was looking for the best way to do it. Also, what did you do with that throttle stop thing they have on the carb? I was thinking of getting rid of that so I can close the trottle all the way to kill the engine. Does that hole go into the carb to the point it needs to be closed with a screw of some kind?

I will try to take a picture for you tommorow. The hole in the front of the carb is the air inlet for the diaphram or pump. It needs to be open. I put a carbon fiber intake on mine, which you solder a tube into that hole, and a piece of fuel line goes into the carbon fiber intake. The intake is $40 I believe and makes setting the needles a lot easier and cleans up the midrange. I believe the throttle stop is still on the engine, and no problem to kill it with the throttle. There is a aluminum home made arm soldered to the arm on the carb, works fine.

The hole I was refering to is the one that would be left when you remove the trottle stop. Thanks for the info on the arm. I figured as much. lol Guess I'll get out my dremel and make me an arm.
Thanks

Just leave the hole open. It doesn't hurt anything. I have a lazy QS106 that turns a 3W 27x10 around 6000. Other than that the engine is sweet_bob
