Stock Zenoah G38 - HELP???
I've got an older Zenoah G38 that is currently turning an 18x10 prop at @ 6900 rpm. I need to get more out of this engine if possible. What should it turn and with what prop? Would a little larger carb add needed rpm's? Compression seems a little loose so should I also install a new ring? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

help is here
Switch to an 18-8 pro zinger. The increase in RPM hasn't seemed to hurt my old G-38, and the 18-10 I was using seemed to lag also. How much time or how many gallons have you ran through this engine? I have found that after running about ten gallons through the old G-38 beast (boat anchor) that it now swings the 18-10 lumber with more authority...good luck.

Stock Zenoah G38 - HELP???
I have just got a new g38 , on the first tank of gas ,on an 18-10 zinger I am getting 7,400 rpm , still have to run the 2nd tank yet . Imagine i will get more than that after a while , think I'll put a 20-10 on it .
