Default Chinese spark plug cross reference ? ? ?

I have a SV-26 that came with a Jenn Feng 9295-320001 plug, and I'm having a very difficult time finding a substitute. I'm told that a NGK BPMR6F will work, but I'm having difficulty even finding that one. Do you know of any other direct replacements for a SV-26 spark plug ? Champion, Autolight, Denso, etc ? ? ?

Thanks.

Ed

Try a champion RDJ7Y.

Dont need a cross reference for small chinese engines.Just about all the plugs that fit weed trimmers are the same.Heres 2 numbers that are in every napa, auto zone,checker,ect..
If ya want a resistor plug just put an R in the number.

RDJ7Y-champion

RDJ8J-champion

The above 2 are what is called taper seat. These are uasually trimmer plugs.

RCJ6Y-championt-his has the flat metal gasket but ive used both and it doesnt matter. So does RCIGN.
BPMR6A-NGK-This has a flat metal gasket and can be used also.
The above are uasually used for chain saws. But will work fine with no problems.

Buck, OK , excellent information. My Chinese plug has a tapered seat, no gasket, and a resistance is measured, so which one would be more suitable, the RDJ7Y, or the RDJ8J ? And what would be the difference between the two ?

Thanks - Ed

The NGK BPMR6F will work in most anything using a tapered seat, 5/8" hex plug. Will also replace washered plugs in most applications. Should be available from any good auto parts store. The major limiting factor is your ignition's metal plug cap. These have to be matched to the plug size.

Good point. Would you happen to know how that Champion RDJ7Y plug cap compares to the NGK BPMR6F ?

Truckracers right.I forgot to mention that difference about the plug sizes.I do my own conversion engines so i have extras of everything.Anyway:
The difference between the 2 champion plugs are below:
ARDJ8Jchampion-The electrode and insulator are even with the bottom of metal body of plug.

B-RDJ7Ychampionsame as above except the electrode and insulator sticks out 1/4 of inch below the body of plug. One is a hotter plug and one is cooler but i dont remember wich way it works.I use the RDJ7Y because in my opinion the tip sticks out into the combustion chamber farther so the spark gives a better fire to the air/fuel mix.

These are also 5/8ths plug cap.The others i mentioned are 3/4 plug cap.For your engine you will use the RD series from champion. These are 5/8ths or [peanut plug] as some refer to.

When i was racing cars and dirt bikes we used to mark the plug and make sure the electrode tip where it curves down was facing the piston top. When the plug was put in at an angle to the cylinder. It was thought to increase better firing.I dont know whether it actually worked anyway.

I always thought the "8" was hotter than the "7"

I've also swapped back and forth between the gasket "RC" plugs and tapered seat "RD" plugs. They both worked and I got the same RPM with them

In the Champion, the "R" means resistor type
