Default Zenoah GT80 carburetor leaks

Can the usual fuel leakage from the GT80 carb be fixed using another Walbro model, maybe the the SDC80?
Will this increase fuel efficiency?
Thanks!

The Zenoah Gt 80 carbs don't have a history of leaking fuel. BUT they do have a history of spiting fuel out the carb if you try to run them to slow.
An SDC 80 would suffer the same problem.
Easy answer is to go to a smaller prop or use a V stack, and adjust the HS needle carefully

RCign suggested trying an SDC to help with a low throttle problem I had with my GT-80 but no mention of helping with the spitting problem. TKG pretty much pegged the spitting problem and what to do about it. I would suggest good fuelproofing behind the carb and to some degree .... learn to live with it.

Thanks guys. Actually it was the spitting problem I was referring to.
