Todd: I have been flying RC since the old 27 megahertz days. Now fly with the Spektrum DX7. Currently flying 2 of the new Funtana 125's with Saito 1.25's, Funtana 100x with Saito 1.00, H9 Spacewalker II with Saito 1.80, and 1 flight on my Christen Eagle II with a Saito 3.00 twin (really lucky getting in back down all in one piece). What model would you recommend for your engine?

I have a Futana 100x that flies great (about 600 or so flight on it). Also have an AW 1.20 Yak (that has definitely over 600 flights on it). Just finished the EF Extra a little while ago and have the pipe on it...it flies very nice as well! The Sbach looks good and there are a number of others out there....just depends on what you like. The engine fit very easily into the EF Extra. Love the way it flies!
All of the above planes have the SAP-180HP in them.
I guess it just depends on what you like! Cant wait to fly the H9 Mustang.

Todd wrings out the Extra for 20 mins...

I had to split it into two videos, too long for YouTube!

If the flat spin actually lost some altitude maybe your videos wouldn't be so long Backplate?.... Iwould like to see a picture. Is it posterior to the carb or does the carb pass through it?

Rick Bell built this Pilot YAK 54, a really nice choice for the SAP 180.

Love the flames! Is yours a Pilot also? I'm impressed with their construction and the hardware that came with the airplane.

I also had the 26% Yak from Pilot with the Syssa 180HP motor. Wonderful combination. Had about 30 flights on it.
Things were going really well until I clipped a tree branch, the wing came off, and the fuse found the only bloody boulder in the area to park it's nose on. Wings are in good shape, just some minor fixing is needed. The engine and fuse got the worst. Engine is back to Todd for a rebuild as I think the crank got bent.
Stuff happens. Now I'm shopping for a newer color scheme, from Pilot of course.
Here's the before and after shots:

What is the best, easiest way to fabricate a pipe tunnel in my new 26% Pilot RC Sbach? Are there pre-made fiberglass or other units? I want a Syssa on the pipe in it.

Would it be safe to grind the washer behind a standoff to make it fit within the confines of a firewall? See picture...
