Does anyone know if an Evolution 58 will fly a 33% Exta 260 ? Will it 3-D ?

There is a video on the MVVS site w/58 flying at least a 33% w/good 3d capability, might be pro sport on pipe though.

Not really sure. Wondering what the 58 would be able to do, as far as weight & size. Just looking for some opinions.

On stock muffler 18lbs or lower, on pipe 18-20lbs, depends on flying style. I like below 18lbs and piped.

NO, 33% extras are usually run with 100cc boxer or 80cc single. 33% extra 260 is about 95" wingspan.

Ya know...this 58 engine would probably be real sweet on the 3Dhobbies 89" Slick I've got a 33% Extra 330L, and though the 58 has proven to be tough for its displacement, I can't imagine enjoying it for 3D flying at all with that engine installed. Now, if you could get a 33%er on a weight loss program, and get it in under 20lbs, you'd have lots of wing area, and probably a damn nice flying plane with that engine. Take a look at the Slick, see what you think.

I have one on a 19# Cap232 and It will do unlimited vertical I dont 3D but it is more power than needed for aerobatics I would put it on a 33% with a pipe up to 22#
