40:1 mix, stock muffler, 1 hour total runtime, mixture adj seems ok, but :
7,800 rpm with Top Flite 18 x 6
7,400 rpm with Menz 17 x 8
Seems low. Some say it will be VERY much improved after 5 - 10 hours of runtime.
At present my Lanier 300L ( 77" wing, 12.5 lbs ) flies like a cub.
Will install the velocity stack that came with the engine + a B&B muffler instead of the stock muffler.
Any ideas will be very much appreciated.
Thanks.

what wereyou expecting?
these are not high performance engines .
just nice friendly sport engines .
To get a 12.5 lb aerobatic model to perform - you need something that will turn a 18x8 at over 8000.

Actually, expecting more.
In the manual the figure is 8900 with 16 x 8; there are also reviews that come up with similar or higher figures.
Thanks for the reply.

My Feedback: (4)
All the G26 engines I have run (8 or 10) will turn a Mejzlik 18-6 around 9000 rpm here at 7000 feet without the muffler..The stock muffler cuts this to 8200...The numbers are lower with other props..I have no 18-8 to test..I have personally held the spring scale on the tailwheel of a plane in Phoenix, AZ, altitude 1000, that read 17.5 lbs pull...I then flew the 14 lb plane it's on, flew very well....Should be very good on a 12.5 lb airplane....All these engines were NIB, very little run time......Try it without the muffler
The same engine turned 8800 using a Dale Abell G23 muffler, 8500 with a Slimline Pitts style......

Thanks for the info. I also need help about grounding the engine.
What do I have to do with the black isolated cable hanging from the engine ?
Do I need to install it in a way or leave it as is ?
Currently the cable is left untouched, I am having interference problems during flight, could you give me some hints to avoid that ?
Once again thanks for your time.
