DLE 55 ignition module question

I am installing a DLE55 and the ignition module is model A-01. my question concerns an extra lead with a futaba female end that exits the module with the lead going to the hall sensor. What's it for???

Thanks. The unit came with no paperwork and seemed to work fine connected to a fiber optic kill switch.
