Default Moki 50cc 4 stroke Gas

Hi Guys,
Just wondering if anybody has the Moki 50CC gas $ stroke yet ?? any comments about it..reliability? performance? service?
I'm a scale biplane builder and prefer the 4 stroke sounds hands down...it all aesthetics in scale..
These run over $1000...so I need to justify the benefits..
Thanks for your input

I am interested in this engine too. All my glow planes have Saito engines. I would think these are good engines, just would like to know how they compare to lets say 30cc-40cc 2 stroke
For the price I think it is reasonable, a good 50cc with Pitts can cost close to 8-9 hundred so I think it is right there.
Any info would be great.

Hello, this moki engine is not strong and with the open pushrods and vents it is not reliable;

here you are;

a very strong 4stroke gas single: from modellmotoren.eu

VT42 turns now in my Zero a 20x12 APC at 6900 rpms, (just search in youtube VT42)

just look at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3C8M-na3Uw at 1min 50 in Zerooo (11Kgs weight)...

Or there exists also a 50cc 4stroke from Kolm-engines

Greetings Martin

I have read 739€ in the other forum but I'm not sure... it's not so expensive compared to Saito engines.
I would say you the FG14 and FG20 carbs are made in china by.......

Saito FG30= $640
Saito FG36= $750
Saito FG42= $860 ??

SAITO Price is far too much, in reality Saito FGs are methanol engines with just other carbs and sensible bearings,

VT42 is a real, solid for gas constructed 4stroke engine

VT 42: Price is ok, its a one man manufacture in Germany,reliability super, needs 300cc gas for 15 minutes full throttle, just use gas two stroke mixture, famous sound and good Starting procedure, max 3 turns and its running...,very sensible to the throttle, almost like an electric engine..

it also exists a 85 cc inline 4stroke....

some Videos:

fascinating, here you can see how the engine is made:

http://www.myvideo.at/Videos_A-Z?sea...schmiede+Vol.1

in Zerooo:

here you here the difference: VT42 four stroke in ZEROOO and ZG62 2 stroke in Ju87 Stuka

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gv1Rk..._order&list=UL

our Warbirdmeeting 2010, in the first minutes till 1:53 you can also hear out the deep cool 4stroke sound of VT42 in Zeroo:

Greetings from Austria

we are talking about Gas FOUR STROKES like Saito, Moki and so on, so dont compare with two strokes......... than you are in the wrong theme..

so i'll end this here, its a Moki 50cc theme,

but youll be satisfied with Vt42

Nice Greetings and happy fligths
