brison 3.2 won't keep running???
#1
Hi, I have a brison 3.2 that I haven't run in about a year or so and I have ben trying to get it running and all it will do is pop and maybe run for a second or two. I tested the spark it it seems good so I assume the ignition is fine. I also took the carb off and took it apart and cleaned it, all looks fine there, gaskets look good. the needles r set fine and where they originally were at. when trying to start I get a little gas coming out of carb, but not a lot, I assume this is normal. Can anyone give me some advice at what the problem could be??
Thanks

The carb is just running off it's prime, so it seems not to be pumping.
Carb valve membrane should be against carb body, then the gasket
Carb regulating membrane side, first the gasket, then on top of the gasket the membrane.
Carb pulse line should line up, and be clean.

What Pe said about the membrane and the sequence of installation is correct. It seems that the use of ethanol gasoline has decreased the life of the rubber goods in the carb. It may not be dramatic but I don't expect to get 5 to 10 years out of them anymore. Put in new parts and life will carry on.
