Default DLE 50 old and new differrences?

I have a DLE 50 that is about 4 to 5 years old, wondering what the changes are between the new version and my older version.

thanks,

I suppose because there is not a new version of the DL-50. Everything is DLE now and you have a choice. DLE 30, 55, 111, and 222. Hard to compare the old 50 to something that does not exist.

DL-50 > DLE 55 ?

i was just curious why w8ye has the DL-50 as the greater of the two in his "equation"

Not greater but the progressive direction fron DL-50 into the DLE 55

DL were the initials of the engine company owner. He was roped into needing three letters for his company logo so he added the "E" for engines I guess?

There were several minor changes made to the original 50 that had little to no effect to the end user. The most significant changes were in supplying the stand offs, crankcase mounting ears made much larger and stronger though still not strong enough for some, and improved muffler that quit shedding the down tube within a couple gallons of gas.

excerpted from post: crankcase mounting ears made much larger and stronger though still not strong enough for some, ...

"Strong enough" meaning possessing the ability to withstand a full power straight in crash onto concrete or asphalt from 500' without sustaining damage?

Must run them on the bench for at least two years, and make sure you use lawn girl. Proper break in in usually 15 gallons. No seriously, i have an older one myself, at it still runs great
