After a failed attempt to repair a cracked weld on my DL50 muffler using JB Weld, the pipe came off in flight without being noticed. Can't say I noticed any difference in the sound or the performance of the engine. After inspecting inside the cowl, didn't see any oil residue anywhere on the motor box or anywhere either. My question is, will running the DL50 without the pipe damage the engine over time? I seems to run the same without it.
By the way, the original pipe weld failed only after the pipe contacted the runway after it stalled a few feet off the ground. Been running the engine for a year and a half with no problem with the welds.
Thanks
Keith

Yes the ones Milton (Badazzmaxx) sells for 40 bucks are very nice.
