90 Degree Carb Manifold for Zenoahs
I know Toni Clark makes a 90 degree intake for Zenoah engines but the weaker dollar and shipping make them somewhat prohibitive.
Why hasn't a US distributor, someone like B&B made these availible?
Do they diminish the performance of the engines at all?

These guys have been advertising here on RCU. They carry the Toni Clark stuff, and seem reasonably priced.

George Vogelsang won every QSAA event he ever flew in..He always brought spectacular airplanes, once brought two pulse jets capable of 300+ mph..A GIANT WW1 bipe powered by a 250cc ultralight twin, with sound effects for machine guns..Always wondered what happened to him...He was/is a German industrialist, said he had a factory on our east coast along with his Geman factories...Sold him a converted G62 at a QSAA once...

The cast 90 degree mount looks nice; sure wish I knew how to cast aluminum.
As far as the copper elbow, three thoughts:
1. When they made it/brazed it up, why not braze the brass pulse tube in place at the same time instead of gluing it on with JB Weld?
2. Why use a pulse tube at all when an exterior pulse setup is so easy to do?
3. One should really use a spacer of some sort that won't transmit heat to the carb with that elbow.

Like Ralph said, those flanges look mighty thin. I have access to a waterjet so I would just cut my own out of 3/16 aluminum the put them together with Dura-Fix.
Is 7mm too thin for an insulator block?

I have two of the Toni-clark G-62 manifolds and the beauty is that although they fit tightly against the engine, the gas passage design is sort of like a corkscrew and there are no tight radius turns in there.
IMO, a copper pipe and elbow design is never going to work as well.
Someone will just need to cast a copy of the TC manifold.
