G20ei Rebuild....
Was recently given a Zenoah G20... it was dumped in, so I've ordered a new crankshaft. Its bent a tad.
My question is, how do I seperate the hub from the crankshaft? The guy I got it from has already broken the rest down. Also, which way does the head sit on the piston? Theres zenoah on one side, and EWD on the other... which is front?
Thanks!

RE: G20ei Rebuild....
If the G20 crank and prop shaft are like the G23, the prop shaft screws into the short stubby internally threaded crankshaft. It seems unlikely that the crank itself is bent. Perhaps only the prop shaft which costs like 6 or 7 dollars and is very easilly taken out and installed, is bent. Just a thought that could save time and money for you. Good luck.

If the engine turns over stiffly, the crank is twisted inside

RE: G20ei Rebuild....
Pretty sure the crank is bent at the threads to the hub. Its pretty apparent by the angle of the bend exiting the crankcase. Guy who gave it to me is pretty positive as well..... It's not really stiff to turn over, though it seems to bind a tad at the bottom and top compared to what I believe to be normal.
Thanks for the help... guy who hooked me up is also offering to help me rebuild so I think I'll be good now.

It may pay in the long run to have Ralph check you crank for a twist?

Excellent idea, as it's always better to be safe than sorry.
