MLD 35 problems

My MLD 35 will not suck fuel with the choke closed. I have to prime it to start.
Any suggestions on solving this problem?
Thanks

RE: MLD 35 problems

Check the reeds, if they are not closing properlyit will not draw fuel.
Unscrew the 2 bolts holding the carb on and look at the reeds, if there is a gap it needs to be corrected.
Also sometimes the black insulator block can be cracked, or the screws not tight and drawing air.

Also make sure the choke plate is closing completely, and if you have to, solder over the hole.

Check the reed seating first though.
