how long will it run

Just wanted to know about how long my 26cc gas engine would run on 14 ounces of fuel? Im tyring to decide if I should put a little bigger tank on or leave the 14 ouncer. The other one I was thinking about is just a little bigger maybe 2 ounces top no more, would this even be worth it or should I just leave it?

Depending on the weight of your plane, how he carb is tuned, and how you fly, it should run long enough for your neck to get stiff. Just going on other gas planes that I have seen, it should run for 20 minutes, maybe more. I wouldnt change a thing.

If my .91 four stroke can run 20 minutes on a 14 oz tank at full throttle, then a 26cc gas engine should run for at least 30 minutes. Gas engines do not drink as much fuel as glow engines. I'm flying a 39cc gas engine on a 20 oz tank, and I should have used a 16 oz tank or even 14 oz tank.

I have a BME 44 with a 14 oz tank in a HP 80" Cap232. I can fly 13 minutes of IMAC type stuff and still have 1/4 of a tank left when I land. You could probably do 16-17 minutes of full throttle with a pretty good reserve. Me, I get tired after about 12 minutes!:D

A friend has a Sig Extra with a small 3W engine, I think he said 23cc or some such. 20 oz. tank. Nice plane. He was flying it one day and the throttle linkage broke and stuck at half throttle. He flew it for about 20 minutes, waiting for it to run out of gas, and at that point he asked me to take it for a while. I flew it until the engine died, and he took the Tx & made the deadstick landing. According to him, the engine died at 38 minutes of run time.

Best wishes,

I have a BCMA 26cc on an Ultra Stick Lite with a 14oz tank. You could get away with a 10oz easily! My flights average 10-12 minutes and I burn about 4oz of fuel in that time. Even flying it very hard and stretching it to 15 minutes, I still have 1/2 tank of fuel when I land.

Hi Guns,

I'm thinking of getting the BCMA Sport 26-IV for an Ultrastick Lite. The weight of this engine with muffler and exhaust is 36 ounces. Will I have to mount the servos in the tail to balance?

Ryobi 31cc conversion on a 4*120. 12oz tank. Full throttle and a little rich on the carb. Over an HOUR at WFO.

14oz is MORE than enough.

Twenty oz. on my G26 in a GP Giant Spacewalker runs over an hour with fuel left.

Fly it until it runs out of fuel and time the flight.

Just figure 0.30 litres per hour. That will be pretty close with that engine.
