Theoretical Thrust Calculation
Can you point me to a "Chart" that shows theoretical thrust based on RPM, Prop diameter, pitch and, I assume, altituted...

RE: Theoretical Thrust Calculation
Get me your email address and I will email you the Prop Power Calculator. It is as close as you can get.

Chances are good that if you make the calculations and then measure the thrust on several props you will never make the calculations again.

RE: Theoretical Thrust Calculation
I would say those chances are GREAT Bill :)
Nothing is better than trial and error with a good set of props and exhausts. The theoretical approach, and opinions of others are fantastic starting points, but if we never experimented beyond that, we'd never know what the perfect setup was for ourselves :) Chad |
RE: Theoretical Thrust Calculation
Chad,
I believe in the theoretical approach and encourage you to experiment and post the results. Bill |
RE: Theoretical Thrust Calculation
Amen brother.... the most i have done with the prop power calculators is point other inquiring minds to them, beyond using it for a good starting point for myself on some new projects.

RE: Theoretical Thrust Calculation
Yup, I agree...it is as close as you can get, as I originally posted about it. Pe did a really good job with that. He spills a ton of knowledge onto the rest of us here, and it sure is appreciated.
