ORIGINAL: captinjohn Tell it like it is and just use a little Gloss:) Capn' For the record, the last engine I sent to Ralph he milled the prop hub, replaced a crank, made a carb spacer, and charged me $20.00. The postage was $25.00. A friend just bought a new carb from Ralph that wholesales for $25.00. It cost him $30.00 wih a couple of timing magnets and hall sensors tossed into the box. Ralph does not run a business. He does what he does because he enjoys it. If he happens to make 50 cents in the process you shouldn't hold it against him. I sure don't, and I wish he charged a heck of a lot more in order to offset some of the headaches he gets from people. |

"Tell it like it is and just use a little Gloss " Was just a short version of your about the same thing you say at end of your postings. Just a short version...I do not know why replied like you did. You must have got out of the bed on the wrong side. Capt,n

OK,
You two, "Click-off" and play somewhere else for a while until you cool off. |
RE: RC Ignitions
Sorry, but the "amended" quote implied I did not tell things straight and turned them to suit my desire. Not the least bit true.

RE: RC Ignitions
Ralph is a definite GURU when it comes to the G62. Bill and Terry at CH are tops as well, always willing to talk with you about a problem and possible solutions! Dave Carr is also a great guy to deal with and more than willing to help!
Happy Flying! Loopman |
RE: RC Ignitions
Saturday I finally got the Zenoah G26 thatRalph converted into the air, onan ultra stick lite 120. Starts so easy, runs smooth and very strong. The USL also likes the updated G26. Great job and a great price, thanks! http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/f...eeth_smile.gif</p> |

Here are 3 of my planes that have RCIGN Zenoahs in them.
The RV-4 has a G-23 The Aeromaster has a G-62 in it. The H-9 P-47 (unfinished at the time) has a G-38 in it. I also have a H-9 Corsair 60 with a G-20 in it. All of these were converted and lightened by Ralph. They are easy as heck to start and everyone at the field loves them. I keep having to fend off offers for my G-62 but I will never part with it. I initially had a little trouble with the G-23, ignition related, next thing I know there is a replacement ignition at my door step a few days later. Ralph is one of a kind and a REAL credit to the hobby. I had to include a picture of my smiling mug because I am very proud of the engines. |
RE: RC Ignitions
I've got a G23 and G20 that Ralph did his usual magic on and they are keepers. Any engine that Ralph touches turns to gold...talk about a Midas touch, that's him. [sm=thumbs_up.gif]
