What Size Engine?
1 Attachment(s)
I'm having some plans drawn up for the Piper Seminole. It's going to be 1/4 Scale. 115.8" wingspan. Thing is I don't really know what size engines I should start with. All up weight is estimated around 25 to 30lbs max. Probably more like 20 to 25lbs though.
Any ideas??? Regards, Bryan |

TWO FOX 2.4'S OUGHT TO HAUL IT AROUND. NICE LOOKING BIRD. THESE ENGINES SWING A 20X8 MEZJLIK AT 7300 RPM WITH A BOLD MUFFLER INSTALLED. MIGHT BE EXACTLY WHAT YOUR LOOKING FOR.

I would go with fox but I want to go with two Gas Engines! Preferably weedwacker ones cause they are CHEAP on fuel and overall cost for the engines.

RYOBI 12lbs thrust each, you could hover if kept under 24 lbs LOL.

Mmm... Nice engines but I think the Fox 2.4 would be a bit overkill. The all-up-weight is only going to be about 25-30lbs. I'm looking for something more in the 25-30cc range. I want it to fly scale but with about 30% power reserves (just in case).
