RE: engine question
dave de,
What engine do you have? Tweak your "H" needle for max rpm and then richen it about a 1/16 of a turn. Start leaning the "L" needle until you loose a good tranistion and then richen it a little. Go back to you "H" needle and repeat. |
RE: engine question
hey, thanks for the reply....I have the 3mm t0c-53 It was running fine then all a sudden this. I,ve been fooling with the needles all day long

RE: engine question
Check the internal carb screen for debris....2-1/2 turns out on the high end seems like a LOT for any gasser. After inspecting and cleaning the screen, tune as Zippy described and report back.

RE: engine question
If the internal carb screen is clean, then check the regulator diaphragm. If it is in the least bit stiff, it needs replaced. If you have a filtered clunk in the fuel tank, you should check that for cleanliness as well.

RE: engine question
could the regulator diaphram be bad when the engine is really still in break-in mode........is that the same as the float diaphram

RE: engine question
dave de,
Check all the simple things like the filter in the carb, inline fuel filter which is a much, and is you battery fully charged. Sounds like you just need to tweak on the needles. If it is still a new engine everything else should be ok. I said should. Where your needle are currently is a good starting point but you need to tune the engine properly. |
