I attended the 2016 AMA Pylon NATS for the Club 40 event. I got a lot of video from Club 40 and on Sunday I got some AMA 424 footage. Dan Kane was nice and did a quick introduction to the 2016 AMA/NMPRA Pylon NATS. The video is on YouTube at https://youtu.be/e5UrLaeQ5pE ... This is a second production of the video using de-hazing. The sky was milky on Sunday and I have to de-haze the 424 footage. I wish I could have gotten to Muncie in time to get some Warbird video, but I was busy completing a plane and didn't get to Muncie until 2 am on Saturday morning. I will have a lot more video coming. If you like the video coverage, please Like the videos on Facebook and YouTube and I'll try to get more in 2017. I learned how to de-haze videos in Adobe PhotoShop and will be glad to help you as the process is not obvious, but it really helps clarify cloudy videos

Thanks. I really wish I could have stayed for the rest of the events, but I had to be at work on Monday morning. I left Muncie at 3:00 pm on Sunday, got home at 2:00 am Monday morning and was at work at 9: am . Then the next weekend I moved my son's stuff from college in Raleigh back to Charlotte and the trailer had to be cleaned out. Getting ready for the NATS and getting through those weeks was a marathon.

I'm going to try to go to Hodges Hobbies in October for a 424 and 426 race. I'm going to get even more GoPro batteries and try to get some good footage. At 3840 x 2160 30 fps, I only get 20 minutes per battery max.

I will be video taping a lot of stuff from on the course or at the pilots station in the future.

I found out that trying to edit full course video from a stationary tripod is extremely time intensive.
