Shoestring .40 racer
Hello!
In the early nineties here in Sweden we adopted a British Racing class called Sport .40 pylon.
Models were based on full scale Formula One racers like Cassut, Old Tiger and Shoestring.
Engines used were only sport type 6,5cc (.40) two strokes, like OS .40 FSR, Enya .40 X, and Webra .40 with standard silencers or mini pipes and fuel used were 80/20 FAI fuel.
I constructed my own Shoestring model based on the original American full scale airplane and made plans for it. Here is what it looks like 30 years after it won the Swedish cup.
