Default Question???????????

OK you plyon racers, I need to ask a question.
If you have a cross wind on the pylons, do you have to trim rudder(s) to hold your heading????????

Thanks for any info..........

Default Question???????????

For me: no matter which way the wind is blowing, I never alter the rudder trim to compensate. If the wind is coming hard from your right while your going from pole 3 to 1.. I just level the wing a little more so that the plane is not on knife edge so much.

If you use the rudder to adjust for a cross wind, the plane would be way out of trim on the opposite side of the race course...

just my thoughts...

No. Just like rowing a boat across a moving stream - you simply pick a new heading that works (trig at it's simplest).
