About the tower hobbies muffler ? is it just the stock replacement or is a tuned pipe? Any other equipment or build tips?

I have a Nelson tune pipe on my TT 40 Pro. It,s exspensive but worth every penny if you ask me. You can get one from Performance Specialist. I believe the Tower muffler is only a Muffler and not a tune pipe.

What is your proficiency level? Do you have drills and taps in English and Metric for instance?
There is some "Race Prep" that you can do to the Thunder Tiger Pro 40 to make it more reliable and last longer.
The [link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXJB16&P=ML]Tower Hobbies Muffler Assembly .46 BB ABC[/link] will bolt right on a TT Pro 40 and add 500-1000 rpm. Of course, you can't use it for AMA racing, but it will add more speed for $15. It requires some additional prep that I'll be glad to explain.
If you add the Tower Muffler, you need to go up in pitch on the prop or the TT Pro bearings may not hold up. Plus you're looking for speed. Try a [link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LX1697&P=7]APC 8.5x7 40 Pylon Propeller[/link] or a [link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LX1698&P=7]APC 8.5x7.5 40 Pylon Propeller[/link].
Practicing with a plane that is faster than what you are going to race will help reduce the tension in a race.
