Default LOOKING FOR FAST PLANE

G'day all

I am in Australia and looking for a FAST weekend plane. I have a JETT .50 BSE Signature without a home. I am looking for an aircraft capable of taking off and landing on a grass strip. Space is not a problem. I do not like the V-tail aircraft or Delta wing aircraft, as I do not want to mix on my radio. I am very impressed with the Weston MagnumR. Are similiar aircraft available that do not need to be hand launched and belly landed. I like a long fast take off and landing.

Thanks all, look forward to hearing from you.

G'day mate,

If you care to do a little modification , a wild hare LR-1 might be the go , waddaya think ?

I have an LR-1 with a BSE35 in it and this thing is in the 150 to 160 mph bracket , turns up 19600 static and unloads in the air like nobodies business

You would have to modify the hump on the side of the plane just behind the cylinder to clear the exhaust header , also the firewall has to be moved back apox. 1/2 inch.

If you are interested let me know and I can help you out with this project , being from the home country myself I know the mentality of the aussie hobby shop , you start talking speeeeed and they get scared , I send stuff back to my flying mates in Mudgee , NSW (home) all the time.

Check out the pic.

Do you want a fast plane or not?

Shotgun, Polecat, Loki, would all be fine choices.

Hughie... you should define "fast" for the fellas here. Everyone has a different idea of what fast is. how fast do you want to go? and what is wrong with your radio mixing?
