I've seen that at a lot of clubs - it's called running for cover.
Most of the time noone flies anyway when me or dad fly because we are the entertainment.

You've got to know when to call it a day dude. Sparing with the "old" guys in these forums is like sparing with you own dad. You're going to lose. Pertaining to your question in this thread... Pylon guys don't punish the sport flyers at the local fields by flying up and down the runway. As Ed said, we chose our practice times accordingly. As to not interferre or scare the hell our of people.
As for the "Tank Issue" that Ed brings up. I thought this tank issue happened in your Evo F3D plane, per your tank thread? The wing folded up? Poor wing strength? Did Bruce replace the kit for "poor wing strength"? he would for sure if it crashed for that reason. "Oh on the bladder tank....That was issue is over.....Mainly because the plane had a poor wing strenght and snaped into.... Flying in level flight too....I was mad when it happend too.... "
